About Consulting
A consultant is one who gives professional advice, and is a subject matter expert usually in a specialized field or area of high demand. A consultant can also act as a confidant, a sounding board, or even an interim staff member. I began consulting over fifteen years ago, through my own university-based projects, regular Board service to organizations I care about, and other forms of pro bono support and volunteering. Drawing on over 20 years of experience in organizations large and small in three states and Washington, D.C., in 2017 I launched a business helping organizations in areas I have expertise and where I have seen increasing need. If you are in need of a sounding board or external perspective, a facilitator or trainer for your board planning processes, or simply need another mind at the table, let's talk. Take a breath, reach out, and let's see how I can help you not just survive, but thrive.

You may not be sure what exactly your organization needs most. That’s why I offer free 30 minute phone consultations to discuss with you your vision, goals, and needs.
About Scott
WHO AM I?
I am first a Christian, a follower of Jesus. I am a husband and father to four beautiful children. I am a volunteer. I am a pet owner. I am a coffee enthusiast. I love the great outdoors.
My calling in life is to motivate others toward a common cause and achieve things they did not think possible. To existing organizations, I bring order, stability, and new ideas, spurring them to new areas of success. For the start-up or founder, I motivate and encourage for a solid beginning and clear path forward. Having worked in small nonprofits, government, education, and the health care industry, I bring a broad base of skills in community outreach and engagement, program management and development, fundraising, volunteer administration, special events, public relations and communications, team building, leadership development, board training and development, strategic planning, and meeting facilitation.
